Bikaner House
A regal and historic building, centrally located at the India Gate hexagon in the capital, spread over 7.6 acres Bikaner House exudes grandeur and royalty. Bikaner House once the residence of the ruler of the State of Bikaner, was an important part of the British empire. The architecture of the palace was designed by Charles G Blomfield. After independence it was bought by the State Government of Rajasthan and used for housing various office. It was subsequently renovated in 2014–15 to be used as a space for promotion of arts and culture.
Bikaner House is now in addition to being an official building of Government of Rajasthan, a new age cultural destination that embodies a physical and conceptual space dedicated to the exploration of interdisciplinary facets of traditional & contemporary arts and culture.
