Introduction

The post of Resident Commissioner, with headquarter at New Delhi, was created in 1978. The Resident Commissioner acts as Special Representative of the State Government to liaison, maintain, contact and pursue various matters of importance of various Departments pending with the Government of India, other State Governments, and Countries through their Embassies. The Jodhpur House, Rajasthan House, Bikaner House, Chanakyapuri Guest House, Udaipur House and offices of various Departments of Government of Rajasthan in Delhi are placed under the charge of the Resident Commissioner as the supervisory authority. Officers of other Departments, State Undertakings and Corporations of Govt. of Rajasthan located in Delhi are to maintain liaison with the Resident Commissioner and offer all necessary help in the discharge of duties and functions narrated above. The Administrative Department for RC office is the General Administration Department, Govt. of Rajasthan.
